Valley Foods welcomes the Kansas Army National Guard as a new customer. Operations will begin shortly to provide subsistence throughout the state of Kansas. We look forward to working with our new partners in providing ration support that is second to none. As we have done with other states, we plan to make their Class One operations First Class.

Valley Foods Welcomes New Customers during Hurricane Restoration
Valley Foods was honored to provide meal kits to Base Logistics and Deployed Resources, who went in to help rebuild after the disastrous hurricanes that struck Texas in September 2008. Both companies aid victims in many types of disasters in addition to hurricanes. Base Logistic, located in New Orleans since 1998, provides planned solutions to the logistical challenges associated with emergency restoration operations. Deployed Resources, based in New York, is a small veteran-owned business specializing in the design, construction, operation and management of temporary life support facilities (Base Camps) and related equipment. Valley Foods is proud to be serving these two vital companies and looks forward to a long business relationship.

Valley Foods Making Soup to Benefit Food Bank
On Monday, September 9, 2002 at 11am at Second Harvest Food Bank, Valley Foods will introduce Giovanni’s Wedding Soup to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. The public is invited to stop by the Food Bank, located at E. 1122 Midlothian Blvd. in Youngstown, between 11am and 4pm to sample the soup. A donation of food is appreciated but not required.
Valley Foods provides food to senior meal programs, schools and day care centers. John Valley said “we wanted to help the Food Bank raise money and awareness of the crisis of hunger in our community, and what better way to do what we know – making food. The soup is receiving rave reviews and we are excited about this new venture.”
Michael Iberis, Executive Director of the Food Bank, said, “We are so appreciative to John and his staff at Valley Foods for attaching our name to this wonderful soup. We are excited about this cause-related marketing event.” Second Harvest is a United Way agency providing food to 200 organizations feeding hungry people in the tri-county area.
